COVER STORY: Ice sculptures of all shapes and sizes are on display at the bi-annual Ice Fest in Hamilton, Ohio. A dozen sculptors take part in a live carving competition as part of the popular event that is featured as our Cover Story.

SCENIC AMERICA: The natural beauty of Flaming Gorge along the border of Wyoming and Utah is simply stunning. The gorge is part of a National Recreational area.

ON A MUSICAL NOTE: We see and hear rare instruments from a wide range of musical groups. Featured are the accordion, a mandolin orchestra and instruments and musicians dedicated to early music.

FAMOUS PLACES: The Kennedy Space Center is a massive complex on Merritt Island on Florida’s east coast. The restricted area contains hundreds of buildings and several wildlife preserves

TIME CAPSULE: Mardi Gras parades, women on bongo boards and ice fishing in Canada are some of the oddball features presented in the newsreels of the 1950s and 60s.

SEASONAL FEATURE: Pokagon State Park in northeast Indiana attracts lots of visitors to its toboggan run each season. The slope is unique because it’s refrigerated and doesn’t need snow.
