It was quite a scene in St. Joseph, Missouri for the 150th anniversary of the Pony Express, still revered despite being in service for less than 2 years in the early 1860s. We also look back on the heyday of drive-in movies and enjoy a "string-along" weekend in Wisconsin where musicians bring their stringed instruments for a musical getaway. And we remember some long ago circus days in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

COVER STORY: There was quite a celebration for the Sesquicentennial of The Pony Express. While this unique mail delivery system from St. Joseph, Missouri to the West Coast lasted only 18 months, it left an indelible mark on America's memory.

SCENIC AMERICA: The source of Lake Talquin, Florida is the
Ochlockonee River in Georgia. The calm and shallow water provides a peaceful setting for boating, fishing and all types of recreation.
ON A MUSICAL NOTE: The Folk Center at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee hosts what's called "String-Along Weekends" where musicians bring their stringed instruments for a musical getaway.

OFF THE BEATEN PATH: Baraboo, Wisconsin is far more than the Circus World Museum, but this lovely town is still defined in part as the onetime home of the famous Ringling brothers.
TIME CAPSULE: The Holiday Auto Theatre in Hamilton, Ohio is part of a revival of drive-in theaters around the nation. This segment recalls the heyday of drive-ins, which began in New Jersey in 1933.

SPRING FEATURE: Kids of all ages turn out to fly kites each spring near Mason, Ohio. And some of the kite enthusiasts demonstrate that they can literally make their kites dance.
