Sentimental Reflections delightfully explores the past and present, capturing the way we are — and the way we were — in Story, Scenery & Song.

One of our recurring video journeys takes you to the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois and another to a vintage baseball game played without gloves under 19th century rules.

“A lot of the magic of Sentimental Productions is its variety, said James P. Delaney, Executive Producer. “You can look back with us at the origin of Flag Day in a small schoolhouse in Wisconsin or learn about the quirky little car called the Crosley,” he said.

Viewers can also see icons of the early days of television like the original set of the “I Love Lucy” show which is on display in Jamestown, New York, Lucille Ball’s hometown.

In our music segment we watch performers play harmonicas of various sizes. We’ve also featured highlights of concerts of groups like the prestigious United States Air Force Band.

Our Off The Beaten Path leads to places like Rabbit Hash, Kentucky where a dog is the mayor or the famous “mushroom houses” in Charlevoix, Michigan.

While these timeless videos were originally released to coincide with each season, viewers find informative and enjoyable content any time of the year. Each program is about 45 minutes in length.

There are 75 editions available, all produced since the series began in 2004. They are available on DVD or through the Sentimental Digital Network at sdnvideo.com

Entertaining features in every edition... Enjoy the samples below

COVER STORY: Transportation is a popular theme for the Cover Story.
A segment on the North Carolina Transportation Museum highlighted the impact of the railroad in America.

SCENIC AMERICA: The vast beauty of the United States is on display in this segment. Natural Bridge State Park in Kentucky sits at the edge of the Daniel Boone National Forest.

ON A MUSICAL NOTE: This segment features a variety of instruments and performers, including a group that travels across the country to demonstrate various street organs. Organizers refer to the entertainment as the "happiest music on earth."

OFF THE BEATEN PATH: Our journeys have taken us to numerous towns across America that have lots of charm even though they aren't necessarily well-known. We were surprised to learn that one of the best beaches in America is located in St. Joseph, Michigan.

TIME CAPSULE: This segment often includes historic video from the National Archives. A humorous piece of film we featured shows how several chimpanzees were trained for a trip to space before an astronaut would orbit the earth.

SEASONAL FEATURE: From tulips in the spring to a pumpkin patch in the fall, each edition includes a segment to celebrate the season. A recent winter feature was a unique horse-drawn carriage parade in Lebanon, Ohio.
